Meggie Froman-Knight serves as Executive Director of Claremore Economic Development. A sixth-generation Rogers County native, she returned to Claremore in 2014 and advanced through leadership roles before being appointed Executive Director in 2021.
Under her leadership, Claremore Economic Development has become an eight-time international award winner, supporting more than $255 million in private investment and the creation of over 1,000 jobs across industrial, healthcare, and retail sectors. Her work has secured more than $20 million in grant funding and advanced major infrastructure initiatives, including modernization at Claremore Regional Business Airport. Her drive has also produced award-winning workforce programs such as the Rogers County Training Scholarship, which has invested nearly $500,000 in locally delivered short-term training and supported more than 200 adults pursuing careers in manufacturing and healthcare.
Meggie holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern State University and an MBA from Rogers State University. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute (OUEDI), a certified Master Economic Development Practitioner (MEDP), and serves as the immediate past chair of Select Oklahoma.
Charlie Bushyhead was named Associate Superintendent in June 2018 and has been in his current position since 2010. He oversees the following departments: Child Nutrition, Construction, Operations, Safety and Security, Technology, and Transportation. He is a strong advocate for providing all Union students the very best education regardless of their background and/or circumstance. His focus remains on the district mission of 100% Graduation, College and/or Career Ready, and continues to support the creation of relevant education opportunities through career pathways. He understands the mission cannot be accomplished without the support of the entire Union family, including our employees, parents, students, patrons, and community partners. He believes in the Union Way and the continued drive for excellence in all areas. Prior to his current assignment, he served Union in the following roles: classroom teacher/coach, assistant principal, site principal, Executive Director for Secondary Education, and, most recently, Assistant Superintendent for Support Services. He is a proud graduate of Union High School, Oklahoma State University, and Northeastern State University. He is married to a retired teacher, has two sons (one teacher and one in construction management), two daughters-in-law (both educators), and three grandsons.
Charlie enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and teaching/training. He is a member of Leadership Tulsa Class 41, a Sunday school teacher, an adjunct instructor, and a Clifton StrengthsFinder Certified Coach.
Debra Wimpee is a public servant and business owner who holds the position of Mayor of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She is serving her second term and is the second female Mayor in her city’s history, 90 years after the first.
As a community leader, Debra has earned much recognition, including receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award for her time in the commercial real estate industry, and was nominated as Woman of the Year by the Journal Record in 2023, as well as the Beacon Award for philanthropy and volunteerism from the Journal Record. Her favorite accomplishment was in 2019, when she was inducted as a Broken Arrow High School “Great Graduate.” The program recognizes those who have brought honor to their community and to their Alma Mater through their personal and professional accomplishments. Runner up would be being selected as 1 of 12 female mayors in the U.S. to be invited to Switzerland by the Swiss Embassy for a week-long trip.
Debra serves on approximately 18 boards/committees and volunteer positions in her community. Her engagements range from supporting veterans, aspiring leaders, and women in municipal government to the Salvation Army. She is the Vice President of the Mayors Council of Oklahoma and an active board member for the Oklahoma Municipal League. She’s launched Mobilizing Municipalities to create awareness for veteran resources in communities and created the Broken Arrow Mayor’s Council of Veteran Affairs. Debra promotes Broken Arrow businesses by organizing community events. These events are promoted through BA Buzz, a positive news and information platform of which Wimpee is the owner and creator, which hit six million views last month!
Due to her passion to serve those who serve…After 16 years as the Director for NAIOP, a commercial real estate organization, she resigned to become the Executive Director of Soldier’s Wish. This veteran organization meets the unmet needs of veterans, active military, and their families. Through her time with Soldier’s Wish her team has granted over a million in wishes to deserving service members.
Debra and her husband, Glenne, graduated from Broken Arrow High School together in 1990 and have been married for 23 years, they have three children who all also are BA alumni and two grand darlins- one of which is a 6th grader at BA! Her family bleeds black and gold!
Mary E. Womble, AIA, is an Oklahoma Architect, NCARB certificate holder, LEED ® AP, and CFM (Certified Floodplain Manager) with 30+ years of experience in the design and construction industry in both private and public practice.
Womble is currently overseeing the planning, designing and construction of publicly funded vertical capital improvement projects at the City of Tulsa as the CABS (City Architectural Building Services) Manager. In her previous role as CRO (Chief Resilience Officer), Womble oversaw the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities initiative for the City of Tulsa.
Womble holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas, is a current AIA Public Architecture Advisory Committee member and a past AIA Oklahoma Strategic Council Representative. Womble has also served in various AIA Eastern Oklahoma Chapter roles as Secretary, Director, founding member of the WiD (Women in Design) committee, and has served on the Statewide Conference Planning, Statewide Disaster Assessment, and Professional Development Committees.
Mayor Box and his wife, Samantha, moved to Oklahoma in 2005 to start over and raise a family. His son, Landon, is currently a senior at Jenks High School and plans to attend either OU or OSU in the fall to pursue the Professional Pilot program.
Cory is a patriot who served 25 years in the United States Air Force before retiring as Master Sergeant in 2014. His primary missions focused on counter-narcotics in Central and South America, medical emergency management, and communications.
While in uniform, he held a Top-Secret SCI security clearance while participating in multiple overseas deployments. While on flight status, he achieved nearly 2,000 combat flight hours in a variety of reconnaissance aircraft.
Mayor Box holds a degree in Intelligence Collection, Analysis, and Information Systems Management. He is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey, California, the Air Force Non-Commissioned Officers Academy, and has two Information Security Certifications from Tulsa University.
Cory enjoys serving the community in a variety of ways. For the last eight years, he has served as the Vice President of The Demand Project, a Tulsa-based nonprofit. He is passionate about combating human trafficking and eliminating online child sexual abuse imagery.
Mayor Box is a fierce advocate for limited government, citizen privacy, and honoring God through public service. He was elected to the Jenks City Council in 2017 and subsequently elected as Mayor in 2021. He is the first city councilor of the last 20 years to serve three consecutive terms as Mayor.
He serves as Chairman of the Jenks Aquarium Authority, Secretary of the Tulsa County Criminal Justice Authority, and is a graduate of Leadership Jenks and the Jenks Citizen’s Police Academy.

Chelsea Levo Feary serves as President & CEO of the Owasso Chamber of Commerce, where she leads strategic initiatives that strengthen business growth, workforce development, and community prosperity. With more than seventeen years of experience in economic development, her work has focused on business retention and expansion, small business support, job creation, public-private partnerships, and organizational excellence. Chelsea is the architect behind Owasso’s data-driven, community-engaged approach to growth, including long-range strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and innovative Chamber programming that connects business, government, and education.
An Oklahoma native, Chelsea grew up in Miami, OK. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Broadcasting with an emphasis in Public Relations. She began her career in the Chamber of Commerce profession, managing military and government affairs in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Tulsa before transitioning into local government. In 2008, she became Director of Economic Development for the City of Owasso, a role she held for fourteen years, leading major business recruitment, redevelopment, and incentive initiatives before returning to the Chamber world in 2022. She is a graduate of the Institute of Organization Management of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute. She is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. Chelsea is a frequent presenter to peer audiences on topics including strategic planning, downtown revitalization, TIF incentives, and public-private collaboration.
Chelsea is deeply committed to serving her community, both professionally and personally. She volunteers with St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Claremore and St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso and serves on the boards of the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives, Owasso Economic Development Authority, Bailey Medical Center, Rogers County Youth Services, and Tulsa Area United Way. Outside of work, she enjoys running, walking, gardening, and spending time reading, writing, and exploring history and the arts. At home, Chelsea finds her greatest joy in time with her husband, John, and her family—children Ian, Emma, Meredith, son-in-law Jordan, and granddaughter Ruby Jo—along with her three much-loved cats, Augustine, Cecilia, and Sirius, who add plenty of personality and comfort to everyday life.
David Cobb is a Senior Associate and Client Success Manager with Terracon in Tulsa, where he helps public- and private‑sector partners move critical projects forward with responsiveness, collaboration, and a community‑first mindset. Drawing on Terracon’s environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials consulting capabilities, David connects stakeholders, uncovers opportunities, and supports teams from early strategy through delivery. He’s known for translating complex issues into clear, actionable conversations that keep projects—and relationships—on solid ground.
Beyond his client work, David is deeply engaged in the region’s civic life. He is Past President of the Rotary Club of Southside Tulsa and remains active across professional networks, including Leadership Tulsa and Toastmasters, where he continues to refine and mentor effective communicators. Those experiences inform his facilitation style—warm, concise, and focused on elevating a range of perspectives—which he brings to this SMPS Oklahoma discussion on regional growth and its implications for the A/E/C community.
A lifelong golfer and storyteller, David is the author of Hole by Hole: A Walk with God on the Golf Course and serves as a panelist for Golfweek Magazine’s Top 100 Golf Courses. Whether he’s moderating a panel, engaging with community leaders, or walking a fairway, David is at his best bringing people together, asking thoughtful questions, and helping teams see the bigger picture.
